Interludium Gin

Batch 04 - England

interludium gin - batch 04 - ENGLAND

Our fourth batch of gin - named Interludium for the simple reason that it is our malternative in between bottlings of single cask whisky - is distilled in England.

It was aged for 9 months in a cask that previously held a premium single malt whisky from the Speyside region. Nope, we will not tell you which whisky the cask held before this gin was aged in it. That is a closely guarded secret, but perhaps you can find out by tasting it yourself!

What we can tell you is that it is a flabbergasting and refreshing gin with a twist.

Due to the fact that is aged in a whisky cask, it is not clear but has a beautiful golden  hue. Furthermore, it is bottled at high strength.

Interludium 01 - Holland - was bottled at 44% ABV.
Interludium 02 - Belgium - was bottled at 45% ABV.
Interludium 03 - Scotland - is bottled at 46% ABV.
Interludium 04 - England - is bottled at 46% ABV.

We stay true to our labels and wax closure. This time we added to the label the flag of England, a white field with a red cross, derived from the St George's Cross. And we used a similarly white wax to seal every one of the 50 bottles by hand.

The label sports the extra tag-line 'aged in a whisky cask'.
